TenderCare Lawn & Landscape Inc. prides itself on having blossomed into a truly full-service landscape company after more than 27 years in business. TenderCare offers landscaping, irrigation, lawn care, night lighting, pool installation, and custom outdoor structures such as pool houses and outdoor kitchens.
The company was originally named TenderCare Lawn Service in 1982 by founder and still owner Kevin Payne. "The name was changed in the early nineties to TendeCare Lawn and Landscape Inc. to better reflect all of the services we offer." explains Payne.
Full Service, full benefits
Because the company is able to take a project from ground zero to completion, Payne says designers can ensure that driveways and sidewalks are incorporated into the overall theme and functionality of the project. The proper plantings are chosen, irrigation systems are designed for proper coverage, and maintenance concerns are well-thought-out. Other issues such as drainage, proper placement of water features, pools and shade structures are not only functional, but add to the overall aesthetics of the project.
"Being able to fully maintain the project becomes easier for our customers," Payne points out. "There is no finger pointing as to which contractor did what. If there's something wrong, we fix it - plain and simple."
Shared Vision
It was Kevin Payne's dream to own a respected design/build company serving the community he grew up in. As TenderCare Lawn and Landscape grew, it was important for new employees to share that same vision. That is why the company only recruits individuals that meet the high standards Payne expects.
Customer Satisfaction is the number one priority at TenderCare. "If our customers are not happy then we are not happy!" Is the motto preached by Kevin Payne. Whether it is a large scale project or a lawn treatment, TenderCare always strives for customer satisfaction. "Quality counts", remarks Payne.
TenderCare Lawn & Landscape Inc. has received national recognition for its successful business practices at the 2008 Green Industry Conference, the country's premier annual conference for the green industry. The company was presented with a Pros in Excellence Award from PRO Magazine.
The magazine's annual Pros in Excellence Awards recognizes the industry's leading landscape contractors who are helping raise the bar of professionalism in the green industry. TenderCare was one of three landscape companies to be recognized, out of approximately 80,000 in the country.
"The awards are designed to recognize three of the industry's top landscape contractors who achieve the highest level of service and professionalism," said Gregg Wartgow, editor-in-chief of PRO Magazine. "The three winning landscapers were selected by an independent panel of industry experts, who judged each of the 11 finalists in a variety of areas: services offered, business growth and profitability, production systems, marketing and customer service."
The company's projects include residences, commercial developments and special design projects. They work with a number of area builders and developers.
